Home to Stay® is a signature program of the Coalition for Children, Youth & Families, supported by Jockey International, Inc., through its Jockey Being Family® corporate citizenship initiative. The Home to Stay® program connects families with a post-adoption specialist from the Coalition or another of Wisconsin’s Post Adoption Resource Centers after a public child welfare adoption is finalized. Participants receive a customized Jockey Being Family® backpack for all of the children in the home, as well as a special gift for parents. The backpacks are filled with “goodies” – handmade blankets, books, games, and music – all personalized to the individual child’s interests. Families taking part in the program also receive information and resources to help them continue along the next phase of their adoption journey.
The Jockey Being Family® Backpack Program is a new initiative taking elements of the Home to Stay® program and expanding those services nationwide. Recipients receive backpacks from Jockey, in addition to resources from the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.), with the intention of providing comfort, stability, and resources to adoptive families.
Jockey Being Family®
In 2005, Jockey launched Being Family®, a corporate citizenship initiative committed to strengthening adoptive families for successful futures. By connecting adoptive parents and children with vital post-adoption services, we hope to provide a guiding hand for local families along their adoptive journey and help prevent failed adoptions that result in thousands of children each year returning to foster care.
In partnership with local and national nonprofit organizations, Jockey provides funding, employee volunteers, monetary, and in-kind donations to support and raise awareness of post-adoption services through its Being Family® program.
